Reading

SCC reading courses are designed to support the development of reading skills needed to be successful at Scottsdale Community College. RDG100LL is a 1-credit lab intended to help students learn, practice, and adapt reading strategies to navigate and comprehend the complexities of college-level texts.

CRE101 is a 3-credit course intended to bolster students' critical thinking and critical reading practices. In both classes, students refine disciplinary literacy and critical thinking skills integral to accomplishing personal, academic, and professional goals.

SCC offers these reading courses in a variety of formats to best meet the diverse needs of our students, and our reading faculty and tutors in our Learning Centers work closely to best support our students.
