Nondiscrimination Policy Explanation
The Maricopa Community Colleges abide by all State and Federal nondiscrimination equal opportunity regulations.
Scottsdale Community College does not discriminate or tolerate discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship status (including document abuse), age, disability, pregnancy, or veteran status in federally funded programs, activities and MCCCD sponsored events, in compliance with the following regulations:
- Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (pertaining to race, color, and national origin)
- Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (pertaining to sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment and sexual assault)
- Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (pertaining to persons with disabilities)
- Age Discrimination Act of 1975 (pertaining to age)
This nondiscrimination policy covers admission and access to, and treatment and employment in, the Maricopa County Community College District’s programs and activities, including vocational education.
