Unable to add this class – requisites have not been met
If you are certain you have already completed (or are currently taking) the course prerequisite(s), submit a Pre/Corequisite Override Form and the Admissions, Records, and Registration office will review your request.
Be prepared to provide the following:
- The 5-digit class number for the course
- The class you completed to meet the prerequisite and where and when you took it
- A PDF copy of an unofficial transcript showing completion of the prerequisite
Class is full
When a class is closed, it is up to the instructor to allow more people in. Your academic advisor can not assist you in registering for it.
Please do the following:
- Email the instructor of the course(s) from your Student Email account asking for his/her permission. If there is no instructor assigned (i.e., Staff), reach out to the academic department that offers the course.
- If the instructor responds with approval, forward the email to admissions@scottsdalecc.edu. Include the five-digit class number of the class if it isn’t already in the email.
- The Admissions, Records, and Registration office will provide further guidance.
Department Consent Required
This means the class section you chose is restricted to certain students (i.e., Honors Program, Nursing students, etc.). Information about these restrictions can be found in the Notes section of the course listing on the Maricopa Find a Class. Follow any directions listed there if you believe you should be able to register for the course.
How to schedule a meeting
- Visit Connect with Your Advisor
- Identify your specific Field of Interest advisor from list and click their Connect button.
- Log into the ConexED scheduling system.
- Search for an available date; meetings are open up to three weeks from the current date and new meeting times open daily.
- After scheduling your meeting, check your email for a confirmation.
Field of Interest advisor is not available
While your advisor may be unavailable at the time you are searching, future meetings may open just hours later. Consider waiting a short while and checking back again.
You are always welcome to meet with another advisor on our team. Every advisor can provide some general information and guidance to you.
Transfer credits from non-MCCCD colleges (i.e., ASU, Central Arizona College, etc.)
In order to use classes from other colleges to meet SCC graduation requirements, official transcript must be ordered from those schools and sent directly to SCC. Visit each school’s website for instructions on sending transcripts. If a mailing address is needed, use:
Scottsdale Community College
Attn: Admissions, Records, and Registration
9000 E. Chaparral Rd.
Scottsdale, AZ 85256
Once received, the Admissions, Records, and Registration office will complete an official evaluation and post credits to your SCC student record. It is helpful to have also have an unofficial transcript for yourself to share with your advisor while that process is being completed.
If you requested official transcript(s) be sent to a different MCCCD college, you may contact that MCCCD college’s Admissions, Records, and Registration office and request that they sent them to SCC. However, be aware that there may be limitations to such requests.
Transfer credits from other MCCCD colleges
Credits taken at other MCCCD colleges are automatically transferred to SCC once grades are posted. You do not have to request official transcripts.
Visit the Nursing Advisement website. There are application preparation guides that highlight prerequisite courses needed and other application requirements.
