Step into a world of adventure, fantasy, and whimsy as the Scottsdale School of Film+Theatre at Scottsdale Community College (SCC) proudly presents "Peter and the Starcatcher." This Tony-winning play, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, reimagines the beloved story of Peter Pan, exploring the origins of The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up. Join us for an unforgettable theatrical experience filled with pirates, jungle tyrants, and the timeless themes of friendship, duty, and love.

The play follows a group of orphans, led by a precocious girl named Molly, as they encounter pirates, magical creatures, and untold dangers on their journey. Through clever storytelling and imaginative staging, the play explores themes of friendship, bravery, and the magic of believing in the impossible.

Directed by Don K. Williams, SCC’s head of performance and directing, "Peter and the Starcatcher" offers a fresh and imaginative take on the classic tale. Williams shared, “This production allows us to delve into the playful and poignant moments that define this timeless character. It’s a story about discovering who you are and the power of friendship, which resonates with audiences of all ages.”
