Prepare for the beauty of Images in Motion, a dance concert by Scottsdale Community College’s two resident companies and guests! Enjoy two performances, one on Friday, December 6, and one on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Images in Motion will be presented in person and via livestream.
In a tradition of inspiring productions, SCC dancers and guest performers will demonstrate their artistic and physical excellence through a diverse range of dance styles in Images in Motion. This concert will provide a moving evening of entertainment for audiences of all ages.
Enjoy performances from:
- Instinct Dancecorps, an SCC company performing works by faculty members Lawrence Fung, Jenny Gerena, and Angela Rosenkrans, as well as guest choreographers Leann Alduenda and Bernard Brown
- Fusion Dance Ensemble, an SCC company performing works by faculty members Karryn Allen, Jennifer Rhea McKusick, Jalen "Jayonce" Reyes, and Lisa Thorngren
- Guest performers will showcase this year’s winners (yet to be determined) of SCC’s Creative Connections Choreography Competition, designed to bring together high school, collegiate, and professional dancers in a celebration of talent and creativity.
Join us for a night of celebration as we showcase the largest dance program among all Maricopa Community Colleges. The SCC Dance program has been selected for the final gala performance at the prestigious American College Dance Association Conference numerous times since 2000, a testament to the performers' commitment to artistic and physical excellence.
