Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is thrilled to host an Open House event that promises a day of excitement, exploration, and entertainment. Dubbed "Artie Palooza" in honor of SCC's beloved Artie the Artichoke mascot, this free outdoor festival invites students and prospective students to experience the vibrant SCC campus and discover the wide array of academic programs and student services offered.

- Join a mock crime scene (body, blood, and vehicle)
- View marked police vehicles
- Work on cables, motherboards, and other computer equipment
- Explore Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences through Karaoke (Musical), Cactus
- Toss (Naturalist), Cornhole Toss (Kinesthetic) and Pictionary (Spatial)
- Participate in Yoga class demos
- Explore biology, physics, astronomy, engineering, robotics, and mathematics
- Make a photograph bandana
- Music game and choir performance

SCC’s programs are broken into nine categories called Fields of Interest or FOIs. All students identify a field of interest for their studies, which opens the door to a community of events, resources, and fellow students pursuing the same degree program. You will meet the dedicated faculty and staff in these areas who help support students along their educational journey.
